The college serves studentsseeking to transfer, enhance career skills, obtain a degree orcertificate, or improve basic skills. The college also providesstudent support services, community education, opportunities forlifelong learning, cultural experiences, and activities promotingeconomic development and partnerships with the community. Thecentral purpose of these programs and services is the education ofstudents to think critically and act responsibly within the globalcommunity. IRVINE VALLEY COLLEGE combines a small-collegeenvironment with modern facilities and equipment, dedicated staff,and an excellent faculty who combine knowledge and experience witha sincere commitment to student learning. IVC has studentgovernment, over 20 student clubs, and co-curricular programs,including award-winning Model United Nations, Forensics, andAdministration of Justice teams. Throughout the year there are artexhibits, concerts, dance and theatre performances, and specialevents. The 13 IVC men's and women's athletic teams include stateand national champions.
