Baseball’s two biggest stars are going head to head in The Bronx this weekend.
On June 7-9, Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Dodgers are dropping into the Big Apple for a three-game series against Aaron Judge’s New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium.
As of now, both teams are sitting at the top of their respective divisions. Could this be a preview of the 2024 World Series?
While only time will tell, we do know that last-minute tickets are available to see Judge, Juan Soto, Giancarlo Stanton, Anthony Volpe and Luis Gil take on Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Will Smith and Yoshinobu Yamamoto in “the house that Ruth Jeter built.”

About the Yankees and Dodgers
Coming into this series, the Yankees have won eight of ten largely thanks to Judge and Soto’s hot streaks.
“Heading intoWednesday’s 9-5 win over the Twins, Judge was on pace for a WAR of 11.0 and Soto 9.1, according to baseballreference.com,” the New York Post reported. “The combined 20.1 bWAR would be higher than any offensive duo since the regular season went from 154 games to 162 in 1961.”
That’s not to mention ace Luis Gil who has gone 8-1 this season with a 1.82 ERA and is sparking Rookie of the Year and All Star Game starter buzz.
As for the Dodgers, they’ve won five of their last ten; midway through that run, they swept the Mets.
