How Achievements work in Cyberpunk 2077

Achievements in Cyberpunk 2077 are special challenges and tasks you need to overcome and complete to earn a special trophy on the platform you play the game on.

Achievements do not grant you in-game bonuses and free stuff. They serve as a personal morale and prestige boost and completing them will give you a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction more than anything else. You can also brag in front of your friends about how many you have completed.

With the launch of the game there are currently 44 achievements in Cyberpunk 2077. Most of them are visible on your platform (GOG, Steam, PS, Xbox etc) and you will know exactly what you need to do to earn them. Well… not always and not exactly. Some have weird descriptions, but I have a section in the guide further below that will help you understand your objectives better.

Some achievements are hidden. You will see them as blanc icons and no descriptions of what you need to do. Most of these are related to side jobs or the alternative endings for the game. I have detailed information about each one of them as well!

Tips for completing achievements in Cyberpunk 2077

In this section I will list the Cyberpunk 2077 achievements that you can miss, have trouble earning or are otherwise tough to get and include some specific action or choice you have to make.

Some of the achievements are very easy to understand, they are not listed here, but only in the main table above. You can do all achievements on any difficulty level.

Please note that this section of the article contains story-related spoilers for the events in Cyberpunk 2077. There is no way to describe what you need to do and how to earn the achievements without talking about events you witness and actions you take during the course of the game.

The Story-related Achievements

Any achievement that is marked as “story-related” in the table above will not be miss-able at all. There is no way you will skip it.

Some times story-related achievements are masked as “Secret”, because looking at their descriptions if they were “Normal”, could spoil parts of the main story for you.

There are a number of secret achievements that are related to the story of the game, but they can be missed, so they are not strictly “story-related” as the main ones that I have listed in the table above as such.

Cyberpunk 2077 Achievements Complete List and Guide (1)

Note on Side Jobs and waiting time

For many of the achievements you will be required to complete series of missions that are spawning as side jobs from characters you meet during the main storyline of the game.

These side missions usually arrive with an NPC calling you or texting you. Between the time you finish a side mission with an NPC and the next one is ready for you, usually some time passes. In some cases, it could be up to several in-game days.

Good examples are the side jobs with Judy, Panam, Rogue and River. Once you complete a mission with them, wait a bit, skip time or do other things while waiting for them to call you with their next job offer.

Interesting approach and also very helpful is to make frequent manual saves. There are several moments in the game where you will want to return to replay in a different way (usually related to main missions, but not only) to earn an achievement that you missed previously.

Achievements are not based on playthroughs and continuity. You can save the game, do something for an achievement, earn it and then reload back to the previous save to continue the story in your own way. You will still keep the previously unlocked achievement.

Stanislavski’s Method

To earn this achievement you have to pick ten times a dialogue option that is unique to the Lifepath you have chosen in the beginning of your adventure.

There are three available Lifepaths – Nomad, Street Kid and Corpo. In dialogues each one of these will give you unique options to choose while talking to NPCs. They are marked with a special icon before the line. See the example below – the third answer is a Nomad-specific Lifepath option and will progress this achievement for you.

Cyberpunk 2077 Achievements Complete List and Guide (2)

While the number of options for this is limited, because there are no endless amounts of stories in the game, there will be more than enough for you to do if you discover this guide early enough.

Bushido and Chill

This secret achievement requires you to complete all of Rogue’s side jobs and finish her storyline. It is related to some of the variations you will see in the final mission.

Rogue is a character you meet in the main story of the game. Her side jobs unlock as time passes and as you progress through the game. To get to her side jobs you need to complete the main jobs “Transmission” and “Tapeworm”. For the latter one, you will have to allow Johnny Silverhand to take control over your body and go speak to her. At the end of this series of drunken fests, you will wake up as V in a bed with Rogue sitting in front of you. This is where her storyline begins.

You will also need to complete the Johnny Silverhand’s side jobs starting with “Chippin’ In

During one of the missions with Rogue, you go to an old drive-in cinema. Completing that side job will earn you the achievement “Bushido and Chill”.

I do not know for sure if you have to kiss Rogue while watching the movie, but I did. If this choice bothers you, you can simply make a save before the scene, kiss her to secure the achievement for yourself, then reload the save and do whatever you feel is right for you.

Cyberpunk 2077 Achievements Complete List and Guide (3)

Judy vs Night City

This secret achievement is about completing Judy’s storyline. You meet Judy early on in the game through the main storyline. Her side jobs start spawning shortly after that.

You do not have to romance her (she is a lesbian, by the way, so only female V would be able to romance her). You can complete all of her missions with any V gender.

Judy’s story starts with “Both Sides, Now” and ends with “The Pyramid Song”.

Cyberpunk 2077 Achievements Complete List and Guide (4)

Life of the Road

To get this achievement you have to finish the side jobs given to you by Panam. You meet Panam through the main story, as is the case with all other achievement-related side jobs and characters storylines, really.

Panam is a heterosexual and can be romanced by male V. The achievement does not depend on that, of course.

Cyberpunk 2077 Achievements Complete List and Guide (5)

Her first side job is called “Riders of the Storm” and the final one from her storyline is “Queen of the Highway”.

Panam is heavily involved in one of the possible endings for the game and if you choose to call her in the end and receive the Aldecaldos’ help, you will also get a special ending achievement titled “The Star”.

To Bad Decisions!

This achievement is yours if you complete the storyline of Kerry Eurodyne. He is one of the members of Johnny’s rock band Samurai from over 50 years ago.

You meet Kerry through Johnny. This means that you have to do Johnny’s side jobs, starting with “Chippin’ In” and then “Blistering Love”. During “Chippin’ In” you have to be nice to Johnny and become a friend with him to unlock the “Blistering Love”.

Johnny will introduce you to Kerry during the mission “Holdin’ On”. After finishing it, you start “Second Conflict”. Following it you will get (after some in-game time passes) the next one. Continue doing missions with Kerry until you reach the final one, entitled “Boat Drinks”. It’s a cool quick job in which you get to destroy Kerry’s boat in a spectacular way.

The achievement “To Bad Decisions” is awarded to you after “Boat Drinks” ends.

Cyberpunk 2077 Achievements Complete List and Guide (6)

To protect and Serve

To unlock and earn this secret achievement you have to complete the chain of side jobs with River Ward – a big guy serving the NCPD.

You can meet River after finishing the main mission “Life During Wartime” during a braindance session. The first side job with River you get is “I fought the law”. In it you get a call from Elizabeth Peralez, who shows you a braindance, where River is one of the characters you watch.

River’s final story mission is “Following the River”. This is a romance-able character if you play with a female V. Check out the guide on how to romance River Ward in Cyberpunk 2077 if you want to do that.

Cyberpunk 2077 Achievements Complete List and Guide (7)

The Devil

This is one of the easily miss-able achievements and it’s secret. This means you will not know what you must to to earn it until you actually do.

During the main job “Search and Destroy” in which you meet Takemura in his secret hideout, you have to save him. When the Arasaka forces invade and blow things up, Johnny Silverhand helps you get up and urges you to run.

Do not run as the mission objective (and Johnny) tell you. Look to your left and take that turn, do not continue down the path that leads you directly out of the building. Look for Takemura. You need to save him. Take the stairs up and ignore Johnny’s angry comments. There will be Arasaka agents on your way back to Takemura. After you find and save him, he will lead you out of the building.

When Takemura talks and helps you as you emerge out of the building in a short cinematic scene, this is a signal that you have saved him. Continue your progress as you would.

To get the achievement, you need to start the final mission “Nocturne OP55N1”. Choose the Arasaka path and agree to follow Hanako. When you talk to Johnny Silverhand out on the balcony after Misty leaves you there, choose the “Think trusting Arasaka’s risky, but worth it” dialogue option and then take the Omega Blockers pills.

Continue through the mission and complete it. This is deep past the point of no-return now. Complete the “Last Caress” mission. When you meet Yorinobu, you will have to take the elevator to get out. After you do that, the achievement “The Devil” will be granted to you.

During the final missions past the point of no-return Takemura will be present most of the time and will have lines. He will also be of some assistance with his own loyal soldiers, helping you through the waves of Arasaka soldiers.

Cyberpunk 2077 Achievements Complete List and Guide (8)

This is one of the several possible ending achievements. You cannot earn them all in one playthrough, but you can if you make a save right before the point of no-return starts. The others are “The Star”, “The World” and “The Sun”. There is an additional secret achievement “Temperance” you earn if you allow Johnny to keep your body at the end of the game. More on these in their respective segments in this guide.

The Star

This is another achievement you earn for completing the game with a unique ending. To earn it you need to complete all of the side jobs involving Panam.

Completing Panam’s story arc will also earn you the “Life of the Road” achievement. You do not need to romance her, I believe. I did romance her and she is heterosexual.

Panam’s story arc of side jobs starts automatically shortly after you meet her in one of the main story-related missions. It is up to you if and when you complete her story arc. You can do that at any time, even after you have completed the game once and return just before the point of no-return.

During the “Nocturne OP55N1” mission, when you are with Johnny on the balcony, choose the option to call Panam. It will only be available if you have completed all side jobs with her previously.

From here select the following options in the dialogue to secure the Aldecaldos ending for yourself:

  • Just need a minute
  • Something I gotta to today
  • Gonna ask Panam for help
  • Take the Omega Blockers to isolate Johnny

Complete the missions “We Gotta Life Together” and “Forward to Death” which are very unique and you will never seen them if you do not choose the Panam ending path.

Finally, choose “Wanna live out whatever life I got left” when you talk to Johnny and Alt in the cybernet and enter the well to return back to Night City. There is a little more before you are finally done with the game. A few scenes with Panam.

Cyberpunk 2077 Achievements Complete List and Guide (9)

The Sun

This is an alternative ending of the game. To get it unlocked, you must complete all side jobs with Johnny Silverhand and Rogue. This will unlock the “Bushido and Chill” achievement for you.

While on the balcony during “Nocturne OP55N1” mission, talk to Johnny after Misty leaves and tell him “Think you and Rogue should go”. Then take the Omega Blockers.

This unlocks a unique mission called “For Whom the Bell Tolls” and during all of the ending you will be playing as Johnny Silverhand. Rogue will be with you, of course.

After you defeat Adam Smasher (same boss fight, but different scene and lighting set) go to the cyberspace and talk to Alt and V. In this scenario you will be on the side of Johnny in the dialogue with V.

Cyberpunk 2077 Achievements Complete List and Guide (10)

I am not 100% sure if both options will grant you the achievement. I returned to Night City as V and left Johnny in the cyberspace. The achievement is granted when you see the credits. This means you have to complete the game to the very end, which is a few more gameplay scenes and dialogues with Panam and the NPCs in the Afterlife club.

Temperance

This is another secret achievement you earn for allowing Johnny Silverhand to take over your body at the end of the game. To get it, you have to complete all of Panam’s side jobs and/or Johnny’s side jobs.

If you have completed Panam’s story arc, while on the balcony with Johnny during “Nocturne OP55N1”, you have to choose the following options:

  • Call Panam
  • Just need a minute
  • Something I gotta do today
  • Gonna ask Panam for help
  • Take the Omega Blockers

Complete the missions that unlock after that – “We Gotta Live Together” and “Forward to Death”. So far the story is the same as the Panam ending path.

After you defeat Adam Smasher (can make a custom save for alternative ending with Panam and the Aldecaldos later on).

You can get to this ending without Panam as well. Complete the Johnny and Rogue side jobs to unlock the option to give Johnny control of your body for the final stretch.

For both versions when you enter the cyberspace and talk to Alt, choose the option to give Johnny V’s body and let V remain in the cyberspace with Alt.

If you play as Johnny in this scene, walk into the yellow wall.

Cyberpunk 2077 Achievements Complete List and Guide (11)

After this, you will get a few more gameplay moments and dialogues before you see the credits and the achievement is granted to you.

Legend of the Afterlife

We have a great guide on what Street Cred is and how to level up fast. Check it out! The current Street Cred level cap is 50 and you will get to it much quicker than you would get to the character level cap, which is also 50.

Daemon in the Shell

To earn this achievement you will have to equip a Cyberdeck that allows uploading daemons and slot the “Detonate Grenade” quickhack.

Hover over an enemy and activate the quickhack to get the achievement done. Note that you do not need to kill or incapacitate the three enemies at once.

Need some help on what daemons are and how they work? We have a beginners guide on how Hacking works in Cyberpunk 2077. Also check out the How gear works in Cyberpunk 2077 and how to get it guide. Both guides will help you better understand what cyberware is and how it works.

Breathtaking

This is a rather long achievement to get, but is incredibly fun and entertaining. Especially if you enjoy the story and history of Johnny Silverhand, like I do.

To get the “Breathtaking” achievement you have to collect Johnny’s clothes, his gun and his car! And, of course, we have full guides on how to do these:

  • How to get Johnny Silverhand’s Car, Jacket and Gun in Cyberpunk 2077
  • Johnny’s Aviators
  • Johnny’s Pants (Legs)
  • Johnny’s Shoes (Feet)

You can only get Johnny’s pants during the gig “Psychofan” in which you steal Kerry’s guitar and find Johnny’s pants in the bedroom of that apartment.

Cyberpunk 2077 Achievements Complete List and Guide (12)

The “Breathtaking” achievement is a reference to the events from the live stage during E3 2018 where Keanu appeared for the first time to promote the game.

The Quick and the Dead

Slowing down time can be done in one of two easy ways: through the Kerenzikov cyberware or the Berserk cyberware.

Cyberpunk 2077 Achievements Complete List and Guide (13)

Rough Landing

This is a tricky one to do if you play on higher difficulty where enemies do not die from one hit. Get a Berserk Cyberware (of any tier) and slot it into your Cyberdeck slot. Find enemies and jump on them. Simply activate Berserk and jump from a high point onto them. The “Superhero Landing” happens automatically. The higher you jump from, the more damage you will deal to the enemy below.

Christmas Tree Attack

Learning how to hack and breach is a little challenging in the beginning. Check out this beginners guide on How Hacking works in Cyberpunk 2077: Beginners Guide.

To get this achievement you need to find an NPC (or a device) and choose the Breach Protocol option. It’s usually the first one on the top. Enter the screen of the mini-game and solve at least three rows.

Master Crafter

To get this achievement you need to invest at least 15 Attribute Points into “Technical Ability”. The Crafting perk that unlocks Legendary items for crafting requires Tech 18.

Complete all gigs and NCPD Scanner Hustles

There are seven achievements tasking you to complete all of the gigs and NCPD Scanner Hustles in each one of the Districts of Night City. This is the biggest farm you will have to do in the game to earn them. The districts and achievements for them are:

  • It’s Elementary (Watson)
  • Little Tokyo (Westbrook)
  • City Lights (City Center)
  • The Jungle (Santo Domingo)
  • Mean Streets (Heywood)
  • Greetings from Pacifica! (Pacifica)
  • The Wasteland (Badlands)

Gigs are side jobs that have no relation to the story of the game and do not change the world much. Some of them may have a little effect on NPCs here and there, but generally the gigs are filler missions. They are still all voiced and fun to do optional content with plenty of opportunities to get cool loot and earn Eurodollars!

There are a few gigs or other missions that may be required for this achievement that you do not see on your map. Skip time and check back after one or more in-game days if new ones would spawn.

NCPD will call you when you approach a spot where criminal activity is taking place. There are three types of activities, marked on the map with three different icons that are included in these achievements:

  • Big skull – major criminal activity with a leader of the organization. The leader usually drops a crafting schematic for a cool Legendary/Iconic weapon.
  • Rotated Square – criminal activity reports that will often send you to a different location. Note that some of these may start in one district, but send you to another. They count for the achievement of the district where they start originally.
  • Spiked Baseball Bat – minor criminal activities you can clear on the spot. Usually involve 4-7 NPCs.

V for Vendetta

To complete this achievement you need to get a cyberware called “Second Heart“. It is slotted into your Circulatory System.

Cyberpunk 2077 Achievements Complete List and Guide (15)

To get this cyberware implant you will need to have at least 16 Body, which means you will need to plan ahead how you spend your Attribute points as you level up, because you will not be able to change them later on.

Not only that but this cyberware item also requires that you have 49 Street Cred, which is also quite high.

Autojock

There are so many cars and bikes available for sale in Cyberpunk 2077. By the time you reach max Street Cred and start looking to complete this achievement, you will be swimming in Eddies. No matter how much money you have, it will not be enough.

Use the “Crafting components trick” to earn the money you need to buy all vehicles available for sale in and around Night City to complete the Autojock achievement.

The goal is to sell the crafting components, but the trick is to get these crafting components quick, in big numbers and cheap. To do that purchase the 10 Eddies drinks from vending machines all around the city. Alternatively, you can craft Epic Incendiary grenades and deconstruct them for crafting components.

Both these methods are described in detail in the How Crafting Works in Cyberpunk 2077 Guide and the How to make money in Cyberpunk 2077 Guide. This method works for both earning money fast and leveling your Crafting skill. And it will help you complete this achievement quicker.

Ten out of Ten

The maximum level of any skill is 20, same as the Attributes. You need to first spend 17 Attribute points on one Attribute to level it up to level 20. This will allow you to get one of the skills that relate to this attribute to get up to 20 as well.

You level Skills by playing in the specific style that benefits that skill. For example if you play a lot with pistols and revolvers, you will level up your Handguns Skill passively while you play the game. The skill level cannot exceed the Attribute level.

To earn this achievement you need to invest 17 points into an Attribute of your choice. Because of how the game is structured and the current level cap, you will not be able to max out all Attributes. I recommend you save your Attributes in the early game and not spend them immediately as you earn them.

Learn how Attributes, Perks and Skill Trees work in Cyberpunk 2077 to get a better understanding of this complex system. I personally would recommend you to invest in Crafting, because in the EndGame and later on for the Expansions you will be able to craft the best gear for yourself and keep upgrading it easily (unless CD Projekt Red nerf the crafting system, heh).
