Kalalau Valley is situated on the northwest side of Hawaii’s Kaua’i island. The valley is part of Na Pali Coast State Park which is an inhospitable area with rugged, unfriendly terrain. Visitors cannot drive into the state park as the terrain is to rough. Therefore, hiking is the only real way to get deep into the valley.
